Sam here!

Well Hideous fans, it’s been too long since I have touched base with everyone, so figured I’d take this opportunity to do so.

As some of you may know, I have had quite a trying last year, trying to defend myself with only moderate success from the defacto state, which has falsely (obviously) presumed I am a “legal fiction” (aka. a living piece of paper, hehe) and also has extorted thousands of dollars from me, and imprisoned me, etc. But, that is neither here nor there, although this has surely impaired any progress I intended to make on making new music or any of the other projects I may have been able to entertain.

So, at this point I will say that there are no plans for any new Hideous Mangleus recordings, and presumably won’t be for some time to come, until I can alleviate my financial and legal position quite a bit.

As I have mentioned elsewhere, I greatly appreciate and am in awe of the very talented and respected individuals that have offered to help me make some of the unreleased Hideous material available to the fans, via a new Ep. But at this point this plan is in indefinite hiatus due to the reasons mentioned above. If at some point in the next year, these factors are removed from the equation, I will surely consider trying to reorganize this plan and see if this time we can reach fruition. But nothing is certain at this point in time.

As for any “resurrection” or reuniting of the original line-up of Hideous Mangleus for either new material or any 20th Anniversary Show(s), at this point my opinion is that I have substantial doubts that any of this will occur, even though there has been talk of some maniacs wanting to set up a Fest in Rhode Island around the this event, and inviting some other OldSkool Warriors to take part. But, long story short, recent events have shown that the personal differences that have troubled Hideous in the past still haunt us and may continue to haunt us for any foreseeable future. But I can say from “my side” of the equation that I have recently restated that which I felt was always obvious, that I personally would welcome any type of reunion and although I surely wish my Brothers success in all they do, namely MorgueMart, they are surely missed, and as I have directly told them, the door has and always will be open for them, because besides being friends and brothers, without their contribution there would be no Hideous Mangleus.

Recently, I have been jamming the “All Your Friends are Dead” CD quite a bit, which has been out of print for some time. I would love to see a quality label repress this CD, and maybe do a collector’s double-LP gatefold version of this classic release, but just thinking out loud. I would gladly help with the layout, etc.

For those of you who have requested the “All Your Friends are Dead” ’90 demo cover shirts for years, Our Brother Kenny Ruhle has made this all possible, see Ad on our Merch page.

Also, if there are any Goblin (USA) fans out there, we recently had our CD released on Ecocentric records, Germany (more info at www.myspace.com/goblin), and posted an interview video on youtube.com. Also, Kenny Ruhle has made Goblin shirts.

And just to mention, there is also a MorgueMart (www.morguemart.com or www.myspace.com/morguemart) video up on youtube.com for those of you who would like to check out what Joel, Curt and Feev have been up to. They just recently released the album "10 Cent Cadavers". Grind On!!!

If interested to hear what Sam Biles’ band Nest sounded like goto http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TreXeYg5SIs .

I am going to be working on a Hideous Mangleus DVD comprised of various bootleg footage and rehearsals, etc; but don’t expect it to be released for six months to a year from now. This will surely include some goodies for your Fiends, cause we have recently uncovered some previously thought missing footage.
