Joel Bonde

Joel “Skum” Bonde, with buddies Sam Biles and Feev, started playing with the idea of starting a band in 1987 (DBK). Being inspired by all their fave bands like The Accused, The Misfits, Death, Dead Kennedys, etc., it wouldn’t be long until Joel got a bass guitar and started learning how to play his fave songs and penning his own. After parting ways with DBK, he and Feev joined his brother Curt Bonde to form some speedcore acts like “Rancid Decay” and “Idiocy”. After about a year apart, Joel and Feev rejoined forces with Sam Biles, and soon after brought Curt into the fold to form Hideous Mangleus (March ’89). Beyond his sinister riffs, he also joined Sam in writing lyrics for Hideous. His sense of sarcasm and general outlook are so depraved that it gave birth to such greats as “Body Bag”, “Sickening”, ”Degeneration” and his most revealing, “Allergic (to Myself).” He continues his melee and ghoulish rantings to this day with his new outfit MorgueMart with the help of Feev, Jarrod Russell, Curt Bonde and Jared Altamare . A true warrior, Eternal Respect!
